About a month ago, I found a contest going on related to a website I recently became fond of (www.genero.tv) and thought I'd give it a shot. I'd been wanting to find something creative to do just for fun for a while and thought this would be perfect. The contest is for a song entitled "Wait for Me" by Moby. If I win, I get to be the "official" national video for the song! How cool is that?
I borrowed a HD camcorder and came up with the concept, shot and edited it myself. It was a chore but with the help of a couple of friends I got it done. Christina Hakanson was kind enough to lend her acting talents and awesome friendly support while Chris Tobin helped out with some technical aspects. Thank yous to both of you :) You guys are awesome.
Yesterday was the deadline to upload it and it is now on the website receiving votes and getting seen. How exciting. I've watched several of the other videos and have to say there is a lot of talent out there.
So, here's mine. I hope you like! :)
Even if I don't win, I'm so glad I was simply able to do something creative that was my own-- it really lifts me up.
Here's a link to the website in case you'd like to see the others. Some pretty cool stuff.

Thanks again to all involved. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Enjoy.

ok, so... about a fourth of the video is cut off on the right, but you get the idea...lol.
ReplyDeleteyou can also find it on the website link I put a link for. Last time I checked this video was on the 2nd or third page-- just roll your mouse over the pics and you'll see who made them to find mine.
